One of the requirements of the National Accreditation Body – RENAR, for the accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies (CAB), is the proven competence of the personnel, namely: “The CAB can demonstrate the competence of its personnel for the functions performed based on appropriate certification carried out by a CAB accredited according to the EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard by a national accreditation body that is a signatory to an EA-MLA or IAF-MLA agreement,” in accordance with Art. 5.9. of RE-01 – Regulation for Accreditation.
The Romanian Movement for Quality (MRC) is the only body in Romania accredited by RENAR to certify CAB personnel (auditors and managers of management systems) based on the requirements of the SR EN ISO 17024 standard (published in the Official Journal of the European Union), for which RENAR is a signatory of the EA-MLA, ILAC-MRA, and IAF recognition protocols.
Based on its RENAR accreditation, MRC certifies the following competencies:
- Quality Management Systems Manager (including for testing/calibration and medical analysis laboratories);
- Quality Auditor (including for testing/calibration and medical analysis laboratories);
- Environmental Management Systems Manager;
- Environmental Management Systems Auditor;
- Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Manager;
- Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Auditor.
Thus, the competence of auditors/managers certified by MRC is recognized and proven both for RENAR and at a national, European, and international level.
